Meet Lynn Yew Shah, LCSW
I work with adults and teens to develop practical skills that build resilience and empower personal growth. I have experience addressing anxiety, mood disorders, chronic health-related struggles, and emotional dysregulation. Therapy with me is practiced in setting where cultural differences are embraced & trauma history is acknowledged so clients feel safe, respected, and understood in their individual healing process. My executive coaching methods integrate therapeutic interventions with effective coaching principles that address the whole self. Using evidence-based approaches like CBT, DBT, & EFT, our one-on-one sessions focus on finding symptom relief and practicing skills that promote continued growth.
I received my Bachelors of Arts at Barnard College and then pursued my Masters in Social Work at Columbia University. My professional experiences include work in both private/non-profit sectors, navigating different disciplines, negotiating with professionals of all levels. My background in clinical healthcare spans work at Memorial Sloan Kettering, Mount Sinai Medical Center, and University of Colorado Hospital.
Each client brings innate strengths to this process and my work hones in on the tools to bring them to the forefront. Passionate about helping clients create meaningful change, I believe in fostering authentic connections (sometimes through tears and laughter) to guide individuals toward lives that are both fulfilling and balanced. When I’m not working, you can find me hanging with loved ones or taking/teaching Pure Barre classes.
Apayo is a place where transformation begins. Together, we’ll build the tools you need to overcome life’s obstacles and embody a life that fills you with peace.
